Sadvi Bhagwati - July 20, 2006
In 2000, I was traveling through Rishikesh and
happened upon this beautiful ashram on the banks of the river
Ganges known as Parmarth Niketan Ashram. As I was waiting in the
reception area to meet Puyja Swami Chidanand Saraswataji, a
great Guru known throughout India for his loving heart and
beautiful nature, I overheard this American voice talking in
fluent Hindi in the office next to where I was sitting. I was
astounded as I heard this American woman converse easily with a
steady flow of Indian Gurus, Yoga teachers, Indian staff and
Indian visitors who filed in and out of her office. Finally,
after about 1 hour, this beautiful young girl draped in a white
sari with a red bindi on her forehead came out of the office and
looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Hi I'm Sadhvi Bhagwati."

she was. I couldn't help but also notice how the other revered
Saints and Swami's at the conference showered her with their
love and attention. It was clear that Gurmukh, in her 35 years
of Kundalini practice, truly walked her talk!
